Hello Brave Community!  Happy Monday! I don’t know about you, but I am completely enjoying this mild weather! Winter (however brief) always deepens my appreciation for Spring weather. It is the perfect weather to go outside and Sharpen Your Saw! (See below.) As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People each month.  Our habit of the month for January is Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw!   We teach our students the importance of taking care of their mind and body. We encourage students to value self-care and self-renewal. Word of the Week (WOW): Each week we have a word of the week.   Hello Brave Community!  Happy Friday! Next week is Kindness week. During Kindness week, we teach our students about the importance of being kind and the impact that being kind has on others.  We have a theme each day to celebrate. Please consider allowing your student to participate in our daily themes next week.  DFT Kindness Week 2023 Comic Con: Our 4th Central Texas Teen & Kids Comic Con will be occurring at RRHS on Saturday, February 18th .  This is an awesome FREE literacy event for the whole family.  Participants can attend author panels, drawing & animation workshops, the gaming hall, shop the vendor booths, and tackle the obstacle course. We really hope you will bring your families and encourage your students to attend.  See the website at www.CTXkidsCC.org for more info and to get your free tickets. We need more adult volunteers!  Spots are available from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.  People can volunteer for an hour and then enjoy the festivities for the rest of the day.
