Double File Trail Elementary

Hello Brave Community! Happy Thursday! We are off to an amazing school year!  Thanks for all that you’ve already done to help us have a smooth start to the 2023-2024 School year! We appreciate you tons! In this newsletter, I’ve included a couple of ways that you can get involved at Double File Trail and/or volunteer. It is important to us that you feel welcome and a part of our school community! As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People each month.  Our habit of the month is Habit 1: Be Proactive !   We teach and model for our students a “can do” attitude.  We emphasize that each student is in charge of themselves.  We remind them that they chose their actions in advance, as well as their attitude and mood. Word of the Week (WOW): Each week we have a word of the week. Our first word of the week is “ DIRE ”.  It is an adjective that means very serious or urgent .  Ask your student to use the word in a sentence or perhaps you could be ver
