Hello Brave Community!
Happy Tuesday! I hope that you all had a delightful and restful Thanksgiving Break! I enjoyed time with my family, as well as some really tasty food! I am also enjoying the cooler weather. On that note, please accept my reminder to send your child to school each day that it is cold or even cool outside with a coat or jacket. If your child does not own a coat or a jacket and you need our help providing one, please contact our lead counselor at clarissa_hollenshead@roundrockisd.org.
As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People each month. Our habit of the month for November is Habit 3: Put First Things First! We teach our students to prioritize and spend time on things that are most important.
Word of the Week (WOW): This week’s word is “ESTIMATE". It is a verb that means to roughly calculate. Ask your student to use the word in a sentence, or perhaps you could be very intentional in your use of our word. Thanks for your participation!
APEX Update: Family and friends, thank you so much for your support of our APEX Fun Run! We were able to raise more than $20,000 for our school. The money raised will be used to provide and expand enrichment opportunities for our students. We appreciate your support!
Cultural Fair & Science Fair: This event will take place on Thursday, December 7th, 5:30-6:30. Each 4th and 5th grade student will have a Science Fair project on display. Additionally, any student or group of students in Kindergarten-3rd grade that have opted to participate in the Science Fair will have a project on display as well.
We encourage family participation in our Cultural Fair. If your family would like to create a cultural board to have on display for this event, we will provide you a display board. Please use this Cultural Fair Sign Up Form to request a display board. Thanks!
