Week of 4.8.19

Hello Brave Community!

Happy Monday!  This week brings us to our first round of STAAR testing.  On Tuesday, our 4th grade students will take the Writing STAAR test, and our 5th grade students will take the Math STAAR test.  On Wednesday, only 5th grade will test; they will take the Reading STAAR test.  This is the perfect opportunity for our BRAVE students to demonstrate that they have participated in an exceptional teaching and learning experience this school year.

As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People each week.  Our habit of the week this week is Habit 6: Synergize!   We teach our students the value of working together with others.  We provide opportunities for teamwork among students because we know that they can get more done when working with a group than working alone.

Word of the Week (WOW):
This week’s word is “humble”.  It is an adjective that means showing modest self-importance. Partner with us in focusing on our campus WOW.  Ask your student to use the word in a sentence or perhaps you could be very intentional in your use of our word.  Thanks for your participation!
