Week of 10.21.19
Hello Brave Community!
Happy Monday! Our Texas weather has taken an interesting
turn. It has gone from warm and sunny to
much cooler outdoors. Please encourage
your child to dress appropriately for the weather. This is one way to help keep
them healthy so that they can attend school. We love seeing their faces each
day and want to ensure that each of our BRAVE students is present to engage in
the amazing teaching and learning experience that is being provided for them!
As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven
Habits of Highly Effective People each month. Our habit of the month of October is Habit 1:
Be Proactive! We teach and model for our students a “can
do” attitude. We emphasize that each
student is in charge of themselves. We
remind them that they chose their actions, as well as their moods.
Word of the Week
(WOW):
This week’s word is “EMPATHY”. It is a noun that means the ability to
understand the feelings of others.
Partner with us in focusing on our campus WOW. Ask your student to use the word in a
sentence or perhaps you could be very intentional in your use of our word. Thanks for your participation!
