Brave News 9.22.20
Hello, Brave Families!
Happy Tuesday! This week marks the
beginning of a new season: Happy Autumn!
I am seriously loving this cooler weather. My favorite thing to do during this time of
year is take outdoor brain breaks. If
you get a moment, share with us a picture of your family’s favorite thing to do
during Autumn for possible use in our 2020-2021 yearbook. Pictures can be sent
directly to our yearbook coordinator at danni@dftpta.org!
As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven
Habits of Highly Effective People each month. Our habit of the month for September is Habit
1: Be Proactive! We teach and model for our students a “can
do” attitude. We emphasize that each
student is in charge of themselves. We
remind our students that they choose their actions, as well as their moods.
Word of the Week
(WOW):
This week’s word is “OPTIMISTIC”. It is an adjective that means to be hopeful
about the future. Partner with us in focusing
on our campus WOW. Ask your student to
use the word in a sentence or perhaps you could be very intentional in your use
of our word. Thanks for your
participation!
