Week of 2.2.21
Hello Brave Community!
Happy Tuesday and happy
Black History Month! I hope that all students are
tuning in to broadcast each day for daily announcements; this month in particular
a notable African American is highlighted each day.
As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven
Habits of Highly Effective People each month. Our habit of the month this month is Habit 6:
Synergize! We teach our students the importance of teamwork. We also model how working together
as a team provides an opportunity to get more done and generate better
solutions than when working alone.
Word of the Week (WOW):
This week’s word is “GENUINE”. It
is an adjective that means authentic or real. Partner with us in focusing
on our campus WOW. Ask your student to use the word in a sentence or
perhaps you could be very intentional in your use of our
word. Thanks for your participation!
Asynchronous Days: Yesterday was the first of four asynchronous days. The upcoming asynchronous days are March 1, March 29, and May 3, 2021. These days are important planning days that allow us much needed time prepare the most exceptional teaching and learning experience possible for all of our BRAVE students!
Valentine’s Day: Our celebration of Valentine’s Day on campus will happen differently this year. Teachers will still host a classroom parties, but students will not exchange Valentine’s Day cards or treats.
