As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People each month. Our habit of the month this month is Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind! We teach and model for our students how to plan ahead and set goals. We emphasize the importance of being prepared.
Word of the Week (WOW):
This week’s word is “SERENDIPITY”. It is a noun that means “an unplanned good thing.” Ask your student to use the word in a sentence or perhaps you could be very intentional in your use of our word. Thanks for your participation!
APEX Fun Run
This is a HUGE fundraising event for our campus. Our students really enjoy it and the funds raised allow us to provide tons of enrichment for our students.

Thanksgiving Meal Request:
First United Methodist Church – Round Rock is sponsoring a Thanksgiving Basket Food Program. The youth of the church would like to deliver a turkey dinner and all of the trimmings to you for Thanksgiving. The turkey will be fully smoked and the food box will include everything you need to have a great Thanksgiving meal.
The church has asked our school to furnish names and addresses of families who would like to receive a basket. If you would like a basket, please contact one of our counselors at mae.grant@roundrockisd.org or ryann_stalwick@roundrockisd.org
The members will deliver the baskets on Sunday November 21st 12PM-3PM. The delivery will be contactless, so please make sure someone will be available at home to receive the basket during that time.
TAG:
The TAG Referral window opens November 1st at 8:00 a.m. and closes
December 9th at 4:00 p.m. The link to submit a referral is below.
Science Fair:
This year our science fair will look like last year’s. It is going to be virtual again this year. All projects will be completed on a Google Slide template. Projects will need to be completed and submitted to Megan Aguirre by January 7, 2021. Fourth and Fifth Graders are all required to do a Science Fair Project and will receive the template from their science teacher. Christmas Community Event:
The Fellowship Church in Round Rock is presenting a community Christmas event at The Texas Baptist Children's Home on December 5th. Families are invited to attend and enjoy this production! Each family will receive free hot cocoa, treats, and a gift!
