 Hello, Brave Families!  Happy December!

 

As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People each month.  Our habit of the month this month is Habit 4: Think Win-Win!   We teach our students how to think of others when problem solving.  Our goal is to arrive at solutions that benefit everyone involved.

Word of the Week (WOW): This week’s word is “DATUM”.  It is a noun that means “a piece of information”.  Partner with us in focusing on our campus WOW.  Ask your student to use the word in a sentence or perhaps you could be very intentional in your use of our word.  Thanks for your participation!

APEX Fundraiser: Thank you families for supporting our fundraiser.  It was wildly successful! You raised/donated more than $19,000 for our school.  The money will be used for field trips, enrichment, and flexible furniture for our classrooms and our Lighthouse Lounge.  We are most appreciative of your support!

Tuesday, 12/7- Frosty the Snowman: Wear white shirt, red scarf and top hat!

Thursday, 12/9 - Reindeer Crew! Wear your antlers and fur!

Friday, 12/10 - The Polar Express! Wear your favorite warm pajamas!

Monday, 12/13 - Grinch Day! Wear green like the Grinch and a Santa hat!

Tuesday, 12/14 – Ugly Sweater Day! Wear your ugliest sweater! 

Wednesday, 12/15- Gingerbread Man! Dress as a character from the Gingerbread Man!

Thursday, 12/16 - Jingle Bell Rock! Wear your favorite holiday shirt and jingle bells!

New Arrival Procedure Begins Tomorrow!

  Hello Brave Community!  Happy Wednesday evening! We are off to an amazing school year!  Thanks for your patience and support as we launched this new school year!  For the first two days of the school year we were happy to offer our families the opportunity to walk students to class to meet the teacher and observe the new learning environment. Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, 8/17, we will shift to our more permanent arrival procedures. All students will continue to enter through the main entrance Students opting to eat breakfast at school will go directly to the the cafeteria (except for PK; they will go to the library and be escorted to class at 7:25, and then have breakfast at 7:45 with their teachers) PK-2nd Grade students not eating breakfast will go directly to the library 7:10-7:25 3rd-5th Grade students not eating breakfast will go directly to the gym 7:10-7:25 All students will will be released to head to class at 7:25 (PK & Kinder will be escorted by staff The cafe

  Hello Brave Community!  Happy Tuesday! I hope that you all had a delightful and restful Thanksgiving Break! I enjoyed time with my family, as well as some really tasty food! I am also enjoying the cooler weather. On that note, please accept my reminder to send your child to school each day that it is cold or even cool outside with a coat or jacket.  If your child does not own a coat or a jacket and you need our help providing one, please contact our lead counselor at clarissa_hollenshead@roundrockisd.org.
