Hello Brave Community! 

Happy Tuesday! We have a ton of things going on over the next few weeks. We would love for you to mark your calendar and join in on a few of the family-centered events that we have planned.  I hope to see you on campus soon! 

As a Leader in Me campus, we highlight one of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People each month.  Our habit of the month for October is Habit 3: Put First Things First!  We teach our students to prioritize and spend time on things that are most important.


Word of the Week (WOW):

Each week we have a word of the week. This week’s word of the week is “CONUNDRUM”.  It is an adjective that means confusing or difficult problem. confused.  Ask your student to use the word in a sentence or perhaps you could be very intentional in your use of our word.  Thanks for your participation!

APEX Fun Run:

This is a HUGE fundraising event for our campus.  Our students really enjoy it and the funds raised allow us to provide tons of enrichment for our students. 

Kickoff: Tuesday, November 8th

Event Date:  November 17th or 18th (I will confirm soon.)

 

Social Emotional Learning:

Parent Program has released the Fall issue of 3 Engaging Ideas© for Family Engagement. This issue's focus is on Social Emotional Learning. Here is the link to the newsletter.

Brave Family Fun Night!:

This event will be Tuesday, October 18th, 5:45-7:00pm!  We will offer a variety of activities for this event, including Interactive Storytelling of The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything, Read Aloud & Create a Puppet, Puppet Show, Blooket/Gimkit, BINGO, Card Games, Science Fair Information/Activity, Planetarium, Breathing Techniques with Slime, Math Games with a Read Aloud, and our Book Fair.

We ended our day with the excitement of Brave Hour!  Students were gardening, creating visual art, planning a stage play, playing checkers/chess and so much more. New Arrival Procedure Begins Tomorrow!

  Hello Brave Community!  Happy Wednesday evening! We are off to an amazing school year!  Thanks for your patience and support as we launched this new school year!  For the first two days of the school year we were happy to offer our families the opportunity to walk students to class to meet the teacher and observe the new learning environment. Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, 8/17, we will shift to our more permanent arrival procedures. All students will continue to enter through the main entrance Students opting to eat breakfast at school will go directly to the the cafeteria (except for PK; they will go to the library and be escorted to class at 7:25, and then have breakfast at 7:45 with their teachers) PK-2nd Grade students not eating breakfast will go directly to the library 7:10-7:25 3rd-5th Grade students not eating breakfast will go directly to the gym 7:10-7:25 All students will will be released to head to class at 7:25 (PK & Kinder will be escorted by staff The cafe

  Hello Brave Community!  Happy Tuesday! I hope that you all had a delightful and restful Thanksgiving Break! I enjoyed time with my family, as well as some really tasty food! I am also enjoying the cooler weather. On that note, please accept my reminder to send your child to school each day that it is cold or even cool outside with a coat or jacket.  If your child does not own a coat or a jacket and you need our help providing one, please contact our lead counselor at clarissa_hollenshead@roundrockisd.org.
